The Universal GR700A kit is designed to allow you to put a T56 Magnum transmission in any chassis behind any rotary engine (13B / 20B). The A in GR700A stands for Aluminum bellhousing, as this kit comes with the Grannas Racing cast aluminum bellhousing. This bell is superior for a street car as it dampens noise as well as does not need indexed, it is a direct bolt on bell. The bell will fit both auto and manual rear plate rotary engines. 

This kit includes a brand new Tremec T56 Magnum-F, GR cast aluminum bell housing, factory Magnum-F shifter with GR 6″ billet shift lever, chromoly crossmember fabrication kit, bluetooth wiring harness, and all hardware required. Driveshafts and clutches are optional, but recommended to make this an easy bolt-in experience. There is NO CORE charge for our transmission kits.

I can make this kit also with a “regular” magnum or a magnum XL, depending on your shifter location needs. You can contact me to discuss that. If you do end up needing a magnum XL, i will have to tear down the transmission and convert the input shaft to a GM unit, as the ford input is too large for the eccentric shaft/pilot.

The wiring harness we include makes for a super clean and simple install. But not only that, but it has a bluetooth module with you can play with the settings such as reverse lockout control, and convert and adjust the T56 speed signal to make the factory speedometer work perfectly. No more need to cut down the reverse lockout spring or wire in a manual reverse unlock switch, this will auto unlock reverse under a set MPH (defaults to 4mph)! All of the settings are all adjustable through your smart phone with an app.

The stock tremec Magnum-F is rated at 700 ft lbs of torque. These T56 Magnum transmissions are FREAKISHLY strong and will outlast all other street transmissions at high power levels. Everything I build is tested rigorously in my racing program. No one else pushes these parts to the level I do! You can rest assured all parts go through my quality control and abused to test the limits of these 6-speed transmissions!

In 2016, I built and tested the first Supra T56 Magnum kit in my own car to be a direct replacement for the Getrag V160. Since then we have developed more and more kits tailored mostly to the import crowd.

These transmissions have great aftermarket support, aftermarket gearsets, and parts readily available for when you ruin a synchro or break a gear tooth. 

This bolt-in kit includes:

All transmission builds are created from brand new TREMEC T56 Magnum-F’s, NO USED transmissions EVER. These are then built to your specs. Choose the power level you need. 

PLEASE NOTE: The T56 Magnum transmission works great with shorter geaging. For bigger power cars I recommend a 8.8″ rear with 4.10 or a 9″ rear with 4.11 gears. You may want shorter gearing depending on your power level and tire size.
