The Ford 8.8 differential is a strong, affordable option to swap into many chassis. It is independent rear suspension, so it is a great swap to strengthen up the rear end in modern IRS street cars.
Advantages to the Ultimate 8.8 cover:

The cover also features a breather port, a rear fill port, a side fill port, and drain port.

- 2003-2004 mustang cobra (aluminum)
- 1993-1998 Lincoln MK8
- 2002-2006.5 Ford Explorer (single front mount ear)
- 2006.5-2010 Ford Explorer (dual front ear)
- 1989-1997 Ford Thunderbird (cast iron)
I offer this with a “universal” bolt on mounting plate has four countersunk bolt holes CNC matched to the cover. This plate will give you a nice head start on getting your differential mounted in your rear subframe.
