The Tilton ST-215 clutch is by far the best driving twin disc clutch I have ever driven. It is available with full face sprung discs which can hold up to 650 ft lbs of torque, or for the super wild power guys in an HD version (coming soon). The HD version has segmented UNSPRUNG discs, which can hold ***COMING SOON*** FT LBS. That makes this the highest rated torque capacity twin disc available!
This clutch is available for Rotary, Honda F20/F22 and Honda K20/K24 rear wheel drive applications.
The one thing that separates this clutch from the competition is two SPRUNG discs. These sprung discs help to dampen harmonics, and quiet the overall manual transmission driving experience. This is why OEM discs are normally sprung. This feature makes it the most friendly street twin ever. Sprung discs not only soften the initial hit when starting out from a stop, but also dampen noise while driving, and especially helps dampen engine to transmission noise during lugging conditions. The ST-215 also features a BILLET pressure plate with heavy duty strapped floater, which also helps to decrease chatter. Compare this clutch to some of the other stamped steel options out there and it is an amazing clutch for the price!
These are Exclusively at Grannas Racing! And 100% MADE IN THE USA!
NOTE:
THIS CLUTCH REQUIRES A 13/16″ LARGE BORE MASTER CYLINDER TO RELEASE PROPERLY!
The sprung full face organic twin discs are rated to hold around 750-900HP or 650-700 ft/lbs.
The HD segmented rigid cerametallic discs are rated to hold ***coming soon*** HP or **coming soon*** ft/lbs!!!
These include:
- Billet Steel flywheel – designed for minimal noise
- Billet pressure plate with floater and top disc pre-installed for easy installation
- Pressure plate hardware
- Optional but necessary – 13/16″ Bore size Tilton Hydraulic throwout bearing
- Optional but necessary – upgraded bore size clutch master cylinder (depending on your chassis)
The video below is the ST246 which is the same clutch setup just larger diameter for larger engine combinations. The overall drivability and usability is close to the same.
Check out my video showing how to properly measure your release bearing gap. Hydraulic release bearing gap is the most important step when you install your clutch kit!
